As of 18 September 2026, fonea operates under the name rednea. Same company, same team, same service — only the name is new.
What stays the same
- Your phone numbers. Nothing changes about your call forwarding, and your calls continue without interruption.
- Your contract, your price and your billing. kraftscale GmbH (CHE-155.650.863) in Lachen SZ remains your contracting party.
- Your login, your settings, your call history and your assistant.
- Your contacts. Same team, same response times.
What changes
- The website now lives at rednea.ch. Every old link redirects automatically — there is nothing for you to update.
- Emails and text messages now arrive from rednea.
- Your assistant will say the new name on the phone once we have updated your configuration with you.
- The logo carries the new name: red in red, nea in dark blue. The mark with the three bars, the colours and the typeface stay the same.
Why the change
fonea started as a side project for the Swiss market and grew quickly into a profitable business, with dozens of customers across German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland. The new name marks the step from side project to a serious business with ambitions. The phone is the start and our core competency. The goal is to connect companies better to their customers across every channel. The name rednea combines red (the colour of Switzerland), rede (Swiss German dialect for speaking) and nea (new).

rednea combines three words. The word red stands for Switzerland, the colour of the Swiss flag. The word rede means to speak in Swiss German dialect. The ending nea stands for new. Together the name describes a new, Swiss way for businesses to speak with their customers.
Did the logo change?
The mark with the three rising bars stayed the same, and so did the colours and the typeface Inter. What is new is the word rednea. The letters red are set in red, the letters nea in dark blue. rednea is always written in lowercase.

Who is behind rednea?
rednea was founded by Semir Jahic and José Vicente Ruiz Cepeda. Semir Jahic is CEO. He has worked in tech for almost 20 years, studied at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and at UCL in London, and worked at Salesforce and several international startups. José Vicente Ruiz Cepeda is CTO. He is a serial founder and Fulbright Scholar with a Master's in Computer Science and Machine Learning from top US universities. rednea is profitable and based in Lachen SZ, Switzerland.
Do fonea customers need to do anything?
No. Phone numbers, call forwarding, contracts, prices and logins stay exactly the same. Old links redirect automatically to rednea.ch and rednea.ai.
